Message December, January and February are the obvious colder months, but can be mild; we have had winters w/o snow. Some folks like the changing seasons. It just celebrated its 250th year last night with the largest fireworks display in the US.

It's not a vacation destination by any means, but excellent region to raise a family considering low cost of living, excellent education, very reasonable housing and stable economy.

Pennsylvania state inspections are once a year and average about $50 depending on service station. Inspections are not strict in my experience. No yearly property tax on vehicles, as in some states.

There are a few drag strips. It's very active with car clubs, shows and cruises. It also has a relatively new racing venue approx 5 years now, Beaverun Motorsports Complex:

There are plenty of things to do in the city. You may have to become a Steelers fan when you are not blinding women with science. ;)
